Mac could've quite easily escaped when the staff rushed to Billy, but he showed that he cared more about him than escaping. One flew over the cuckoo's nest novel. The film dares to be a tragedy on the human level. Life is often not pretty. Neither is this story. It is moving - deeply. But it never panders or moralizes, it just stands as a warning against the Nurse Ratcheds of the world and as an example of how wonderful good writing well-acted can be to is a Tragi-comedy/Psychological Drama. And Milos Foreman does a great job too. 10/10.

The concept is that this is essentially a 'documentary' made for an alien race to understand extinct humanity. The background music has fit this theme quite nicely, strings and horns that sound proud, yet at the same time sad and lonely. A perfect fit for a comedy 'documentary' about us after we're gone. The loneliness is accented by making the film and Garyx the main focus, with other images and sounds being the exception rather than the rule; as if the films are all that is left. I feel the use of the serious setup with an insightful yet funny commentary really made the comedy pop due to the contrast. In this episode it felt like to many other internet videos: tons of editing with strange visuals in an attempt to be wacky. All of the added sound effects, strange transitions, and inserted images covered the serious undertone and made the verbal humor seem lower quality as a result. Additionally, like many other internet videos, it started to feel like a sensory overload at times due to all the editing and inserts. A swift bombardment of sounds and pictures may be fitting for many forms of comedy, but it doesn't seem to quite fit with this post-mortem documentary idea, as one of the main attributes of documentaries is to present information and ideas slowly and clearly so that the audience can easily grasp concepts that can be quite complex in nature. That said I have no issue if the show heads in the direction of zany and sudden humor, but I feel that the format should be altered to better fit such a style, with more bombastic music and a more energetic 'host' perhaps. Merging the two just makes things seem out of place one way or the other.

Witness the horror of institutionalization emasculated by Nurse Ratchet, calmly justified through Louise Fletcher. Mac shares his gusto of live as best that he can, but you always have the gut feeling that it's a losing cause. Many a film in this time period were not meant to appease but to enlighten. Cuckoo's Nest remains a tough watch, but like many of that genre of film, well worth the time and empathy.

Your psychoanalyzation of nurse Ratched is right on the money,shes a sociopath who uses psychological warfare to bully and intimidate the weak and sick,and I also believe she suffers from the little big person syndrome where on the inside shes not so self-confident and self assured and she uses her position of power not to help the patients but for her to personally continue to live her own delusion that shes really helping the patients through a strict and and unbending tyrannical coldness towards her patients.
